Boondocks Return In 2010

Highly AnimatedOne of Cartoon Network's most popular shows, The Boondocks is set to return to television for a 3rd season. The show has taken aim at taboo subjects like the R. Kelly Trial and gay rappers and after a 3 year hiatus creator Aaron McGruder has even more subjects to tackle.

McGruder revealed on Twitter that the show would be back in early 2010.

"Finally got an airdate for Season 3," McGruder wrote."Not sure if I'm allowed to put it out yet, so I'll just say you got about three months! Merry Xmas!!"

The Boondocks first 2 seasons were very controversial but popular. Hip hop stars Xzibit, Busta Rhymes and Mos Def have all lent their voices to the Adult Swim staple.
